Good, I'm sure the Finnish will be very pleased, do you know how bloody cold Finland is for most of the year? On the other hand, when they say rising, they probably (I haven't read link) mean less than a degree, which is un-noticeable and wouldn't affect anything anyway.
Oh and ps , we're constantly told to ignore record cold spells because it's not 'global' so that means we can ignore Finland's little heatwave because... you've guessed it - it's not global.

I think they meant latitudes or maybe attitudes but I doubt they meant altitudes but altitudes is true as well. Increased greenhouse gas should moderate the coldest winter temperatures as well as the high mountains and polar regions. Global moderation just wouldn't be scary enough to help the cause however. I would be very skeptical of Finland being different from Sweden, for example.
Global warming is not a myth. What's really being contested is if humans are contributing to it with fossil fuels, oil, coal, gases, etc.
I would like to read the paper behind the article, before I would comment, and I cannot seem to find it, hmm I will look tomorrow.
