William Gray is a hurricane expert that calls himself a "denier". I know that because his talk immediately followed mine at the AMS meeting a few years ago and he was proud to call himself that. He has done a lot of good work on hurricane analysis, although he's most famous for his seasonal predictions that are often wrong (and are invariably blamed by deniers as evidence against AGW!).
Judith Curry said that Gray suffers from "brain fossilization", which gives some insight into both Curry and Gray.
He has done a lot of good work and deserves better treatment than people like Curry have given him.
He's part of the oil and gas conspiracy to deny AGW, he's being paid by big oil, he's senile, he's not specifically a climate scientist, he was never realy any good at his job in the first place, that came from a denier blog, ..... Did I miss any of the cultist responses?
