Why does everyone make global warming into a political subject?

politics has nothing to do with it nor emotions, why can we not approach it analytically, and examing the evidence in a scientific way.

If there were evidence that could be analyzed analytically we wouldn't have a problem.

It's political because liberals can't stand it when they feel other people are more successful. Liberals can't control themselves, they can't act on their own, big brother has to tell them what to do. If today all liberals acted on their fears CO2 emmissions could be cut by better than half and the fallout from reduced consumption would reduce them even further.

Most alarmists and a few skeptics as well don't like the fact that those who believe in it are largely from the left politically. They don't want to believe that their skepticism or belief stems from their political outlook. They want to believe that it stems from their knowledge and study. Unfortunately, the correlation between Alarmists and leftist politics is far closer than the correlation between CO2 and climate change. It isn't a coincidence that the so called solutions are all leftist wacko solutions that have been promoted long before AGW. AGW is a the last in a long line of leftist environmental causes albeit it is one that has potential consequences for our economy and way of life that far exceeds the others. There a billions thrown at it to find results to help certain political agendas. Sure there is science underlying it all, but as we have seen, science can be corrupted. I applaud those like Ottawa Mike that try to argue the science but it seems to me they always end up getting dragged back into the politics of it because that is what drives it.

Big oil equals big money being donated to politicians' campaigns and to buy misleading ads. Global warming is a serious scientific fact that needs our immediate attention. The US and Russia are the only remaining countries of the top ten economies who are not planning carbon pricing. For more info see citizensclimatelobby.org.

The politics of Global Warming are complex due to numerous factors that arise in global warming a non - traditional environmental challenge.

The ones who made it political in the first place are the ones who stand to make the most money. Staring with AL Gore and other colorful individuals.

Why is it political? Because there's money involved.

Money to be made selling coal, oil, and gas.

Money to be recovered developing coal, oil, and gas.

And money to be paid if we're ever to avoid warming that's likely not good.

Whenever there's a lot of money involved, there'll be politics.

Politics protecting profits.

Politics protecting the people from excesses of those making those profits.

This is the most difficult kind of problem to be faced.

There's lots of money available to politicians if we continue to burn fossil fuel.

There's no money available to protect the environment at some time in the future.

It has to be a moral decision.

And, unfortunately, morality is sadly lacking in the country today.

Because they are afraid that stopping global warming would mean that they would not be able to drive or to heat and light their homes. But all these things can be done with clean energy sources, such as solar, hydro and nuclear power.

Because 1. it does, legitimately, have political implications, and 2. the "skeptics" and denialists can't meaningfully argue the science (except with grade-school-level tactics on the order of sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "La la la, I can't hear you"), so they just argue the politics.

Hah Hey Dook now you know how irritating it is when I try to answer your anonymous questions.
