Why do people say humans created global warming?

Why is it people say humans created global warming when water vapor is the current #1 problem causing it?

It's a combination of arrogance, self importance and a hatred of one's own species.

No, dear! Its true that most of the damage is caused by humans. We can say that most global warming is caused by humans only, but there are natural causes too! There are things that happen naturally and cause global warming! Let us have a look at the natural causes:

i) One natural cause is a release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas. (A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere).

ii)Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years.

iii) As the Earth spins, it does not achieve perfect rotation. It wobbles slightly, thus alternately exposing the northern and southern latitudes to more and less solar radiation. This wobble in the Earth’s rotation has been causing changes in the temperature of the atmosphere for many millions of years.

Now for the man made causes. You can find the answer for the why question!

i) Pollution in all forms. Like burning fossil fuels etc.

ii) Deforestation.

iii)Mining. Methane is naturally present underground. So once we start digging, methane is released and causes global warming as said before.

I hope this helps you, friend. And sorry for such a long answer, Dear!

In the Middle Ages in England they held "Ice Fairs" on the frozen River Thames.

Man in his SUVs caused warming, now we're all going to die.

Bollox all of it.

You are certainly right about water, as water and clouds are responsible for about 75% of the greenhouse warming while the other greenhouse gases, primarily CO2 are responsible for the other 25%. However water is limited in the atmosphere by its saturated vapor pressure which depends on the temperature.. However CO2 knows no such limitation and its increase is increasing the temperature of the earth which in turn increases the temperature which then increases the amount of water and air can hold. Well, the net result is that water in the air has increased by about 7% as the feedback to the carbon dioxide, which has increased by about 40% in the last century..

Scientists say that humans are the main factor in global warming as we are putting about 30 billion tons of CO2 into the air each year, and we are responsible, by burning fossil fuels and clearing forests and such, for most of the 40% of the increase in carbon dioxide.

The article below has a little history and explains the relationship between water vapor, CO2, and global warming.

Water vapor is the gas form of H2O (water). Water vapor helps create clouds and starts rain. It is GOOD for the environment. Humans, however, are the most destructive species in the world. WE tear up ecosystems and destroy natural estuaries. WE burn up millions of pounds of fossil fuels (coal, oil, petroleum, and etc.) every year. WE release tons of CO2 (carbon dioxide) and greenhouse gases (methane and etc.) everyday. WE ripped a hole in the ozone, not water vapor! Humans might not have created global warm, but we are the top most contributor fifty billions times more than any other animal on this planet.

Well the theory was that increasing CO2 levels would cause a minor temperature rise which would increase evaporation and a major increase in atmospheric vapor content, and a runaway effect, it didn't happen though, atmospheric water content has stayed relatively constant.

Water vapor can't cause it. Its residence time in the atmosphere is but a week or so, any water vapor that you try to add into the atmosphere will precipitate out before it can cause any warming to increase the atmosphere's temperature, and thus water vapor holding capacity.

The only way to increase water vapor is to first increase temperature. Water vapor is a feedback mechanism, and the warming we are seeing is effected by increases in other longer-lived greenhouse gases, namely CO2. Humans are responsible for the increase in CO2 over pre-industrial levels.

Only the most pathetic and desperate denialists claim that that has ever been said. That humans have exacerbated global warming is a prevalent and well supported theory

Because it benefits Government and Businesses which most people dont realize due to lack of knowledge.

It's all about controlling freedom and limiting it.

Why is it people say humans created global warming when water vapor is the current #1 problem causing it?

Obviously you are completely uninformed on the science behind AGW

Its all about money and concurring.. Think outside the box...

They want to tax us and control us with the threat.
